While open to animal and bird portrait as well as portraits of your beloved pet, I’m sensitive to furry friends no longer with us.

Dedicated portraiture, even more special than your favourite photograph.

Self taught, my artistic journey of nurturing a long-held hobby brings me to now; the result of acclaim for commissions to family & friends and beyond, to successfully garnering onward general recognition. Encouraged by this, and with support and inspiration of accomplished talented online artists, I continue to cultivate and perfect my techniques, seeing my portfolio broadening to reach yet further afield.

Pursuing my love of drawing, I enjoy dedicating fully my time in the practice a life-long passion; focusing days, often across weeks, to the fine detail in the study of each piece.

I can work with you from heritage photographs to provide you with that legacy portrait of your loyal companion, so special to those who have such a presence and importance to us.

I am happy to discuss with you your commission enquiry.

I hope you enjoy my work.

I’m a Norfolk based pet portrait, animal and wildlife artist. I bring my passion for drawing and love of the East Anglia countryside together to compose coloured pencil compositions.

I specialise in creating realistic artwork of animals, birds and wildlife; works I aim to exquisitely capture and convey in each the individual essence and character in a portrait brought to life on paper.

With a reputation for uniquely crafted artwork evolved from everlasting devotion to realism, you can commission me for your own custom portrait.

My passion for drawing began from an early age. As a young teenager picking up pencil to the study, drawings and sketches of birds using HB and 2B graphite: kingfisher, puffin and sea birds in monochrome.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I work using the highest grade coloured pencil, Caran d’Ache Luminance and Faber-Castell Polychromos, on hot pressed Fabriano Artisco 300gsm cotton paper, their combined lightfast and archive qualities ensure enduring longevity of your portrait.

Through application and patience, the precision and time I put in to each hand drawn piece results in photo realism from a classic drawing style. The process of building up layers to recreate textures to stunning depth, whether fur and feather, through delicately placed pencil strokes goes to ensure each portrait captures that unique heart and essence of every subject.
